The Lost Art of R.L. Day

Gallery

"Leopard Land," Day’s last work in 1946, is perhaps his rarest as he had ceased his travels by this time. Perhaps as many as a hundred were sold and it is likely very few remain intact. With America emerging from World War II into a new era, did "Leopard Land" signify a world of greater tolerance and understanding? Only Day himself knew.
