One of Day’s more popular works, "Peace and Liberty," copyrighted in 1926, further exemplifies Day’s patriotic bent and premieres his use of a setting (rising?) sun so pervasive in the rest of his work. The eagles' peaceful visage is in direct contrast to Day’s colorized work on the same theme.
